The Gender Equality Network (GEN) is encouraging everyone at Mark Allen to nominate their most inspirational women this International Women’s Day (IWD).
This years’ IWD theme is #BreakTheBias.
Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead.
GEN is keen to help combat this by highlighting the fantastic work women do at Mark Allen.
Colleagues will be asked to “give kudos” on LinkedIn to the women who inspire, motivate and influence their day-to-day lives.
We have also created a photo collage of the female faces making up Mark Allen, demonstrating how diversity and equality is a key to our success as a business.
Tim Willoughby , co-sponsor of GEN and MD of MA Exhibitions, said: “I am incredibly proud to have been involved in, and see, how much the MA Gender Equality Network has achieved in its first year.
“We know gender disparities can harm both individual employees and the business itself and at Mark Allen, people are recognised purely for their work, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
“There is much more that we can be doing across the group, but we are improving.”
GEN will be sharing content every week throughout March showing how managers, colleagues and the senior leadership team can help #BreakTheBias, so stay tuned for more.
