In April 2016, the Group underwent a corporate restructure: Findlay Media Ltd changed its name to MA Business; MA Business & Leisure Ltd became MA Music, Leisure and Travel Ltd.
Reflecting each company’s name, MA Business now houses all of the Group’s B2B brands, whereas MA Music, Leisure and Travel is home to the Group’s portfolio of music and consumer titles.
The Mark Allen Group comprises the following trading companies: MA Healthcare Ltd; MA Education Ltd; MA Business Ltd; MA Music, Leisure and Travel Ltd; The Airports Network Publishing Ltd; George Warman Ltd; and Master Travel Ltd.
To recognise the growing number of exhibitions being organised by the Group, MA Exhibitions Ltd was established.
In October 2015 the Group acquired The Airports Publishing Network Ltd, a specialist publishing and conference business for the global ground handling industry.
In November 2015 the Group acquired George Warman Publications (UK) Ltd, which added dentistry titles to the Group’s healthcare portfolio.
Mark Allen Group acquired Findlay Media Ltd and in doing so branched into the manufacturing and engineering industry with a portfolio of publications and events.
A & D Media changed its name to MA Business & Leisure Ltd.
Mark Allen’s education magazines and activities were incorporated into a separate company, MA Education Ltd.
Mark Allen Publishing Ltd changed its name to MA Healthcare Ltd to embrace all publishing and conference activities related to health care and medicine.
Operating from the Dinton office A & D Media Ltd was created to publish the company’s leisure and business titles.
The Group’s Wiltshire office, was opened in 1994.
Master Travel Ltd, a specialist travel company providing escorted study tours for professionals, was established.
Mark Allen Publishing Ltd was established following a management buyout from International Thompson Publishing Ltd of two journals: British Journal of Hospital Medicine (“BJHM”) and The Physician by the company’s founder and Chairman, Mark Allen.
